The International Junior Golf Challenge (IJGC) is an internet-based competitive and comparative scoring system that enables Junior Golfers of all socioeconomic backgrounds to compete locally, regionally, nationally and even internationally against fellow Junior Golfers. The IJGC scoring system levels the playing field, enabling Junior Golfers to fairly compare their scores to one another, no matter the course they play on. Tournament entree fees, greens fees and travel expense obstacles are virtually removed, opening the doors to competition for sponsored prizes, scholarships, and professional placement. PARTICIPATION IS EASY! The IJGC system works with the Junior Program you already have in place. 1. Just sign up your course's program. 2. Log into the web site and sign up your Junior Golfers. 3. The Junior Golfers report their scores to you at the end of each regulation round played at your course. 4. Using your identification code, log into the site and enter the Golfer's scores. 5. That's it! You and your Junior Golfers can follow your rankings all season! Rankings are generated using a mathematical formula which includes course slope from tees played, the number of rounds played and recorded scores. Juniors will be ranked nationally on a daily basis, as well as within their state and region. Rankings are broken down into categories based on gender and 5 separate age brackets, as well as frequency of play. At the end of the year, state, regional and national champions will be crowned, as well as 2nd through 4th places within each division. Also, dependent upon commercial sponsorship, our goal is to award prizes on a monthly basis, not only to top ranked players, but also for such achievements as "most improved" and "best single round". AND BEST OF ALL - MEMBERSHIP AND USE OF THE WEB SITE AND ITS RANKING SYSTEM ARE ABSOLUTELY FREE! Just think how proud the Juniors and their parents will be to see their "names in lights"!
